RICKETY
48R4 to the tune Rickety on Sound Company disc
To let left-handers be left-handed a little.
Peter Wright

the last two bars to dance (travel step) left shoulder past each other toward
their end corners. (who are 2nd W 4th M)
33 - 40 1st couple turn end corners right hand, turn 3rd person left hand, turn oth end
corner right hand, then pass diagonally to 2nd places own sides.
41 - 48 Circle eight hands round to the left and back. Order now 2 1 3 4.
It might make for clarity in teaching if the term DANCING COUPLE
is used instead of FIRST, and all the couples retain their starting numbers as their descriptor.
SECOND TIME through uses the same sequence of patterns, but:
NEW dancing couple are the FOURTH couple, at the bottom.
They dance the pattern and finish own sides 3rd places, with the original 3rd couple in fourth places.
Now 2 1 4 3.
THIRD TIME through uses the present top couple (orig. 2nd) as in the first time through.
Now 1 2 4 3.
FOURTH TIME through the bottom couple (orig. 3rd) dances the left handed version.
Now 1 2 3 4.
PREFERRED VERSION for 4th and 3rd couples dancing UP is.........:
4th (3rd) couple lead up/down LEFT HANDED and do their allemand to their LEFT and round to the menšs side.
The dance then proceeds as before except that the middle couple is the 2nd couple. (orig 1st)
IT WORKS !! ENJOY !!
